Technologies
Mainstream tools, chosen for the people who maintain them next.
We build with widely used, well-documented technology, so the code you pay for can be picked up by any competent developer later. These pages cover what we build with each one, and when we would choose something else.
Web front ends
Sites that rank and load fast, and interfaces people use all day.
- Next.js developmentWe build marketing sites, content hubs and web applications in Next.js and React, tuned for Core Web Vitals and search, then hand over the code and hosting in your name.
- React developmentWe build dashboards, booking flows, admin panels and design systems in React and TypeScript, with tests, accessibility checks and documentation that let your own team carry on.
Back ends, data and AI
APIs, integrations, background jobs, data pipelines and AI features.
- Node.js developmentWe build REST and GraphQL APIs, payment and CRM integrations, background jobs and real-time features in Node.js and TypeScript, with tests, monitoring and runbooks included.
- Python developmentWe build Django and FastAPI applications, data pipelines, automation scripts and AI features in Python, with tests, type hints and documentation your own team can work from.
Mobile apps
iOS and Android from one codebase, released under your own store accounts.
- Flutter developmentWe design, build and release Flutter apps for iOS and Android, along with the API and admin panel behind them, and publish them under your own developer accounts.
- React Native developmentWe build iOS and Android apps in React Native, Expo and TypeScript, reusing your React skills, API and design system, and release them under your own store accounts.
Commerce and cloud
Online stores, and the infrastructure everything else runs on.
- Shopify developmentWe set up and migrate Shopify stores, build custom Online Store 2.0 themes and private apps, connect payments, shipping and inventory, and fix the speed and SEO problems that cost sales.
- AWS developmentWe set up AWS accounts properly, move applications onto them, write the infrastructure as code, and keep security and the monthly bill under control, all inside your own AWS organisation.

Frequently asked questions
Which technology stack does Meritbyte Technologies use?
Mostly TypeScript and JavaScript with Next.js, React and Node.js for the web; Python for data and AI work; Flutter or React Native for mobile apps; WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify where a platform fits; PostgreSQL for data; and AWS, Azure or Google Cloud with Terraform and Docker for infrastructure.
How do you choose the technology for a project?
On four questions: who will edit and maintain it after launch, what it must connect to, how fast it must be, and how easy it will be to hire for later. We prefer widely used, well-documented tools over fashionable ones, and the scope explains every choice in plain language.
Can you work with the stack we already have?
Usually, yes. Much of our work is extending or rescuing existing systems. We start with a short review of the code and infrastructure, then recommend whether to extend, refactor or replace each part. We do not recommend a rewrite just because we would prefer a different framework.
Will we be locked into your technology choices?
No. We choose mainstream, open-source tools that many developers know, keep the code in your repository and the hosting in your account, and hand over documentation. If you later move the work in-house or to another firm, they can pick it up.
